Invoice compatibility example — captured October 23, 2026 (America/Toronto)

This is self-authored synthetic business code, not a customer upload or accounting recommendation. It is a .NET 8 library and a separately compiled consumer application. Only the library was sent to the production anonymous Free endpoint, with no Pro transforms requested. InvoiceConsumer.dll is byte-identical in both folders. Private fields/helpers change names; the public library contract is preserved.

Requires .NET 8 runtime or compatible installed SDK. Review the source before running.
From this extracted directory:
  dotnet original/InvoiceConsumer.dll
  dotnet protected/InvoiceConsumer.dll
Both should print identical JSON and report checks=10, events=5, count=5. Each process asserts known totals, JSON names/round trip, events, state and an exception parameter. Failures cause a nonzero exit code.

Invoice rules in this demonstration: round subtotal and discount to two decimals, subtract discount, calculate and round tax, then add tax. Midpoints round away from zero. At 19.95 x 3, 10% discount and 13% tax, the total is 60.86. This is a sample rule, not tax advice.

To inspect transformations, open the original and protected InvoiceLibrary.dll in ILSpy. Included listings were generated by ILSpyCmd 11.0.0.9375. RoundMoney becomes @d, and _calculationCount becomes @b. The public Calculate API remains; the logic remains readable. Hash differences identify artifacts, not protection strength.

Source/: InvoiceLibrary and InvoiceConsumer projects and verify-online.ps1. The optional script recompiles the sample and UPLOADS ITS LIBRARY to https://freeobfuscator.com/ to rerun the production test. Reading or running the prebuilt samples above does not upload anything. Compiler versions can affect rebuilt binary hashes; report.json identifies the captured binaries.

This does not validate all .NET versions, UI frameworks, signing, reflection or deployment modes. No customer files, payment configuration, private rename maps or product engine source are included.
